It is both an honor and a privilege to welcome you as the 7th Basileus of this extraordinary chapter—a chapter whose legacy has been built by visionary women committed to excellence, service, and sisterhood.
Since our chartering in 2010, Lambda Gamma Sigma has established itself as one of the premier alumnae chapters in the Western Region. As a five-time Western Region Chapter of the Year, one of the region's largest chapters, and a respected leader within the Pomona community, we continue to uphold the high standards of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., through impactful service, unwavering sisterhood, and transformational leadership.
The ladies of Lambda Gamma Sigma are committed to honoring the legacy that has brought us to this moment while strengthening the foundation that will carry us into the future..
Guided by the principles of Greater Service, Greater Progress, we remain steadfast in our commitment to improving the quality of life for the families and communities we serve throughout Pomona and the surrounding areas. OUR FOUNDING PILLARS
SISTERHOOD
From seven young educators, Sigma Gamma Rho has become an international service organization comprised of women from every profession. Sigma Gamma Rho offers its members opportunities to develop their unique talents through leadership training and involvement in sorority activities. These activities provide an atmosphere where friendship and professional contacts are developed leading to a bond that lasts a lifetime.
SCHOLARSHIP
Sigma Gamma Rho was founded on the precept of education and continues to promote and encourage high scholastic attainment. Alumnae chapters conduct programs designed to foster academic excellence and award thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to local high school and college students, as well as undergraduate members.
SERVICE
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. provides leadership, service and resources toward removing barriers and inequalities so that all people may develop their potential and exercise full citizenship. In its quest to expand its area of service, Sigma Gamma Rho actively participates in the sponsoring of national and international programs designed for the improved welfare of all people.
